Green Playtime: Recycled Crayons

This one is a quickie that is a good lesson in recycling.  Take little pieces of broken crayons and put them into a mini cupcake tin. Bake at 300 until melted and let cool. I usually put mine in the freezer for a few minutes.
This is a great quiet time activity. I let my kids sort out the broken crayons and then peel the wrappers off. They will sit quietly on the floor until they have peeled all of the broken crayons. Let them break any of the bigger pieces to fit in the cupcake tin.

Tip: Use holiday cupcake tins to make festive crayons for stocking stuffers and Easter basket fillers.

Enjoy!
