I am so excited about Samantha starting kindergarten that everything I have done lately has a school theme. My latest school-inspired creation is this easy sunburst mirror.
Materials needed:
circular mirror
crayons
hot glue
an empty ribbon spoolUse a ruler to mark your mirror into 8 sections. This will make it easier to get the crayons evenly spaced.
Dab hot glue and apply your crayons to the marks you made. From there, keep adding crayons to them empty spaces until the areas are filled.
When you are done gluing the crayons to the mirror coat the flat bottoms with hot glue to reinforce them.
Next, glue your ribbon spool over the crayons. This will hold them more securely and add 3 dimensionality once you hang it.
Viola! A quick and easy mirror that can be hung in a study area, classroom, or any place that could use a splash of color.
