Crocheted Stick Horses. Er...Creatures...

Hi everyone! I just wanted to show off a few of my newest creations because I am really proud of these.
Any time we are in a toy store my kids grab the stick horses and ride them around. I decided to make one for Samantha and it ended up as a unicorn.

I didn't follow any pattern on this one, so there are a few kinks, but Dax's dragon turned out much better.

I am currently working on a TaunTaun for Philly, and I'm guessing that will be the best of the three just because I figured out the mistakes on the first two. For all you lay people, a TaunTaun is basically an intergalactic camel in Star Wars, but this one smells much better. :P

Luke Skywalker on a TaunTaun. Yes...I'm a HUGE geek.

I'm rubbish at writing out patterns, I basically crocheted the heads in a round, made the features and sewed them on, and stuffed the heads. I painted one inch dowels and hot glued the heads to the dowels.  To cover the mess of the hot glue I wrapped it with ribbon.

Isn't great that we can all get along??

The brave Dax goes in search of a quest!

The pics were taken with an iPod. I REALLY need a new camera! (Hint to my hubby).

My fancy princess with her newest friend.

My kids love their new toys and I had a blast making them.
Thanks for letting me show off!

  3. I LOVE these! We have one horse, and it is always a "thing" (you know what I mean..right?!) when one kid pulls it out and the others all have to wait. I am so going to try this! I'm going to pin it too--so cute!!
