Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten Review

My son Dax will be starting Kindergarten in less than a year and I really want him to be ready. He is one smart cookie, but he is definitely more of a hands-on learner. This is where a LeapFrog Tag is the perfect learning tool for him. I can't tell you how excited I was to get this in the mail this week along with the Tag Get Ready For Kindergarten interactive book and the Tag Human Body Discovery Pack (there will be more on that later).

If you are a new Tag user like us, the set-up is really easy. I just connected the tag to my computer, entered our info, and downloaded the audio for the book.

Tag Get Ready for Kindergarten  helps teach ABCs, numbers, reading, rhyming, math, and science, as well as social studies. Dax was absolutely in love and read it at least 5 times in the first hour.

This is rare face of a 4-year-old who is completely focused on what he is doing.

It is difficult to get bored with the Get Ready for Kindergarten book because there are so many things to do. Each page comes with the options of Say It, Sound It, Spell It, and Game. The Skip Counting game on page 12 was one of our favorites. By the time we were done Dax was identifying all of the numbers on the first try and counting by 5s and 10s!

He felt so proud of himself and that was such a great thing to see.
While I was thrilled that he was doing so well with the ABCs and numbers, Dax's hands down favorite section was the dinosaurs. Big surprise, right?
