Tuesday Confessional Link Party

Merry Christmas everyone! I scheduled this to post last night, but of course it didn't. I hope you are all having a wonderful time with your families. I can't wait to see your last-minute holiday projects.

Silence for Newtown

Like many other bloggers, I am choosing to use today to spend with my children and hold them a little closer to me. I will not be posting the Tuesday Confessional party tonight.

Today my thoughts and prayers are with those affected in Newtown. To the victims and their families I say, "I love you, and I'm sorry."

Now I'm going to hold my babies tight.

There are just no words...

I know so many of you who read this blog are parents. Right now I'm sure you are all watching the news thinking that the sweet little victims in Connecticut could have been your children. God forbid some of them were.

My heart is breaking for the victims and their families right now. I can't even imagine the horror and sadness that they are experiencing. My heart breaks for every parent who has watched or read the news today. Nothing I can say is sufficient for this situation. There are just no words. All I can do is cry and hold my children, and hope that the rest of you are fortunate enough to do the same.

I can do nothing but hope for a little comfort for myself, for all of you, and for the families and friends of the victims.

Hi there. This is Samantha: Mommy's crafty little "Mini-Me". I love that my mom has a blog because it gives us the chance to do lots of fun stuff like review fun games.

Last week we got Just Dance Disney Party for our XBox Kinect.

So far we have played it every day. It is sooo fun! Even my 4 year old brother Dax can play it. His favorite song to dance to is Squirrels In My Pants from Phineas and Ferb. My favorite is Calling All the Monsters from A.N.T. Farm. My mommy's favorite is I've Got a Dream from Tangled. She also said that she loves this game because we get out all of our wiggles in a good way. I guess she doesn't like us getting out our wiggles by screaming and running down the halls...

Just Dance Disney Party has songs from some of our favorite movies like "Beauty and the Beast", "The Little Mermaid", "Tinkerbell", and "The Jungle Book". It also has songs from our favorite Disney Channel shows like "A.N.T. Farm", "Jessie", and my favorite: "Shake It Up". I even wore my Shake It Up shirt to dance along!

Here I am channeling my inner CeCe in my Shake It Up shirt.

This is my brother Dax. He bumps into me a lot, but he is getting better.

Assassin's Creed III takes place during the Revolutionary War. I love this because I am a bit of a history buff, so my inner geek can really shine through. I can't wait to sit down with this game after a long day of dealing with cranky kids. Thank goodness there is multiplayer or I might have to fight my hubby for it. :)

Tuesday Confessional Link Party

Printable Santa Naughty and Nice Letters

Christmas is in the air! What is the best part of this season? Is it the decorations? The music? The food? For me it is the leverage that Santa gives me. (I swear I'm not the Grinch). It is just nice to be able to say, "Stop hitting your brother! Santa is watching!" or "You are one step away from the naughty list!".

As they have gotten older my children seem to need a concrete reminder that Santa is indeed watching. I have found a few Santa letters online, but none have really caught my eye, so I called Santa himself and he kindly sent me the forms he uses to inform children which list they are on. He even gave me permission to post them on my blog so all the parents out there can have access. He explained that in the end, it is the parents who sign off on the list.
