Mommy and Sami Spa Night + DIY spa tricks

I love all of my kids, but there is something so wonderful about having a little girl. She is my little BFF. Monday night, while the boys were at the car races, Samantha and I had a DIY spa night and watched Lemonade Mouth.

First, we started with a little relaxation:
Lucy pup wants a pedi too!

Bubbles!

Nothing says "Spa Night" like fancy drinks with little umbrellas. Since we didn't have any umbrellas, I just cut a slit in a few cupcake wrappers and slipped them over the tops of the straws. Voila'! Instant drink umbrellas.

To make your glass of milk a little more fancy add some liquid coffee creamer. I used Coffee Mate White Chocolate Caramel Latte. Yum!!

Next, pedis with glitter toes! If you are going to the salon for glitter toes you are wasting your money. They are so easy to do at home!
Just paint your nails and immediately pour fine glitter onto the wet nail polish.

Please excuse the TERRIBLE picture.

Wait 15 minutes, and paint with a clear top coat. Seriously, that's it. They stay for weeks.

After glamming up our piggies, we made our own oatmeal masks using baby oatmeal and water. Just add enough water to your baby oatmeal (or oats that you have put through the food processor) to make a paste.

Slather it on your face. Now take pictures and laugh hysterically.

Finally, I wrapped Samantha's hair in torn up fabric A.K.A. "Rag Rollers". These were also really easy.
First, cut your rag strips 4 to 5 inches long and less than an inch wide.

Section the hair to make it a little easier.
Start at the tips of the hair and roll up toward the scalp. Tie the ends of the rag together and let it sit over night.

In the morning you will have your very own Shirley Temple.

I had such a great time pampering my little princess from head to toe. I think this may become a monthly ritual.
