Pez Dispenser Wall Hangings

For Christmas, my 2 older kids got character Pez dispensers from their best friend. Neither one liked the taste of the Pez, but the dispensers were too cute to throw away. A few months ago I turned my son's Thomas dispensers into wall hangings. I placed them above the light switch near the bedroom door.

Since the two oldest share a room (we only have 2 bedrooms at the moment), my daughter has been begging for her own "girly wall space".
Want to make your own? Here's how:

Materials needed:
3 unfinished wood frames. I bought mine at Michael's. They are the perfect size for Pez dispensers.
The cardboard insert that comes with the frames
Acrylic paint and brushes
Glitter (optional)
Hot glue
Scrapbook paper

Paint your frames and let them dry. I did 3 coats.

Cover with glitter or embellishments if desired.

Trace the cardboard frame insert on the back of your scrapbook paper and cut it out. Paste the paper to the cardboard.

Once you have put the papered backings into your frames, hot glue the Pez dispensers to the paper.

Hang your masterpiece(s).

Happy Crafting!

  4. Clever! Everyone loves Pez dispensers (I don't know anyone who likes the candy).

  5. So fun! I actually have some star wars dispensers (a guilty pleasure of mine) that would be fun to do this with!

  6. I love this idea. My son is 16 now and we have been collecting Pez for him since he was 2. I have been looking for a fun way for him to display them that doesn't look to childish but more like art. This just might look cool with some of his collection.
