Scrappy Owls and Pillowcases

My latest sewing endeavour was pillow cases for Samantha and Dax. I had scraps of fabric left over so I decided to make them matching "friends".  I was thrilled to see how much they loved them.  Without further ado I present Hoot Hoot and Tinker Owl:

Showing Off: Crayon Rolls

My wonderful hubby recently got me a sewing machine. I had been wanting one for a long time, but I was just way too intimidated. What inspired me to want a sewing machine in the first place? I saw an adorable crayon roll on a link party and thought it was the cutest thing ever.

This is the crayon roll made by The Idea Room

 Guess what? I finally made one! I followed the amazing instructions given by The Idea Room. Her tutorial was for Twistables, so I just adjusted the height to fit regular crayons. Here they are!

This is the first one I made for my daughter.

Drool Worthy Tuesday Confessional Features

My baby boy just turned 9 months old last week and I have yet to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. These drool-worthy recipes from the Tuesday Confessional link party aren't making it any easier!
