Improved Summer Wreath

I had this wreath on my door for less than a month and was already getting bored with it, but it felt like a waste to take it down so soon.

4 little triangles and some black paint later I have an improved wreath that I can stand to look at until it is time to put up my fall decor.

I've been married going on 7 years and I still love seeing my last name :)

What do you think?

Bamboo Place Mat "Vase"

While at Target today I found a 4 pack of bamboo place mats for 50% off! The moment I saw them I knew they had potential. Here is the first of my place mat upcycles:

Materials:
bamboo place mat
ribbon
large fountain soda cup
hot glue

This project is very difficult, so please do not attempt unless you are well rested. Ok...here we go: I glued ribbon over the seams of the place mat and let the glue dry.

Next I wrapped the mat around the soda cup and glued it in place.

After all that work I had to put flowers in my new vase!

Phew! I am wiped out. I think I'll treat myself to a glass of ice-cold lemonade. :)

Happy crafting!
