My oldest baby is graduating from Kindergarten next week and I couldn't be more proud. I was, however, disappointed to learn that her class will not be doing anything related to graduation. I had been looking forward to seeing her in a little graduation cap, so I made my own. If you have a munchkin graduating from preschool or kindergarten this is a fun and easy little "bow" to make.

DIY Dress-Up Set: Fairy Princess
In our house, fairies are kind of a big deal. We have books about fairies, all 3 Tinkerbell movies on DVD, Tinkerbell bedding, and even a Tinkerbell bear. My daughter has outgrown her fairy dress-up clothes, so I took it upon myself to make her a brand-new dress-up set complete with matching hair bows. I have posted the links to the instructions for the different parts of this dress-up set at the end of this post.
Ribbon fairy wand
Matching hair bow
No-sew tutu

DIY Boutique Flip Flops and Bow Set
It is flip-flop weather! Can I get a hallelujah?? I love me some flippity flops, but so does my dachshund, so I don't like to spend a lot of money on new shoes. I think she finds that the more expensive ones taste better. I have been on a bow-making kick the last week or so (I'll be opening my own Etsy shop soon), so I decided to glam up my new sandals that I got at Michael's for a dollar.
Before...sad little flip flop :(
I found some adorable ribbon on sale at Michael's and went to work.
Cover the strappy thingies with ribbon using a hot glue gun
Glue on coordinating bows
I made a matching hair bow that doubles as a shirt clip. You can clip it to the collar of a plain black tee to make a coordinating outfit.

Ignore my chipped table. This is why you never place a hot glue gun directly on the table. Time to repaint...
The adorable matching set
Coordinating with my new shoes
This set cost 4 dollars to make: $1 for the shoes and $3 for the ribbon, and I still have enough ribbon left to make more shoes and bows.
