Teeheehee. I made this while drinking my morning coffee. Anyone else with me?
I walked in to Michael's, saw that the paint brushes were 20 for $1, and walked out with 80 paint brushes.
Enjoy your day!

Summer Fun Wreath
I can't believe how quickly the last year has flown by. This weekend is Memorial Day and my sweet little Samantha has less than two weeks left of Kindergarten. With Summer quickly approaching I decided to make a summer fun wreath to get into the spirit of things.
New Name, Same Silly Blog
If you've been here before you've probably noticed a few changes to the blog, specifically the name. When I started this blog it was mostly about my struggles as a mommy, but over time it evolved into an outlet for my crafting obsession. Since my web address is www.craftyconfessions.com I thought it would be nice to having the same name on my blog. After posting a Facebook poll I found that most of you agree, so here is the new name: Crafty Confessions (of a stay at home mommy)! Of course I snuck in 'of a stay at home mommy'. That is what I am the most proud to be.
I hope you all like the new title and buttons and continue to follow my journey in the world of crafting and mommyhood!

Brolly Sheets Review: A Nighttime Sanity Saver
If you have a toddler or young child you probably have the joy of dealing with accidents. Accidents happen, but they are the worst in the middle of the night, because by the time you change your little one's clothes and bedding they are wide awake. My 4-year-old son is still having potty training issues so I was thrilled when Brolly Sheets asked me to review their waterproof covers. I received the light blue cover and it was super easy to use. I just threw it on top of Dax's top sheet and put him to bed like normal.

Corner Reading Nook
For those of you who don't know, I live in a shoebox, A.K.A. a two bedroom apartment with 3 kids, two adults, and a dog. There isn't much space for the kids to have quiet time on their own, so one day I made them a makeshift hideaway in the corner of their bedroom.
Do you live in a tiny space? How do make it feel bigger?

Don't you just love the dresser with the missing drawer? Oh yeah. |
They loved it, but it just wasn't what they needed. By that I mean it wasn't good enough for me.
The first thing I did was replace the dresser with one that had all the drawers. What a concept! I didn't like the dresser where it was, so I swapped it with the bookcase and that is how this cozy corner went from a hideaway to a book nook.
The next thing I did was sew a little curtain. I hung it by attaching a hook to the bunk bed and another to the walls. I ran twine across and hung the curtain.
I printed and laminated some reading posters and threw in a few chairs.
The kids absolutely love their reading nook, and it makes them feel like they have a bit more space.

Happy Mother's Day To My Mama
From the day I was born I was given a gift: My mother. She raised me under difficult circumstances, nurtured me, and passed along her fierce sense of right and wrong. She taught me compassion, charity, and gave me just enough disfunction to make me funny. As an infant she was my life source, as a child she was my teacher, and as an adult she is my best friend.
I love you, Mama!
